旅行の英会話をご紹介いたします。

街をぶらぶらしたり、動物園に行ったり、
市場に行ったりします。

（日本語を読むとき英語を想像してみましょう。
日本語文と英語文は同じではありません。）

A: どこ行ったの？

B: お猿さんを見に子供たちを
動物園に連れて行ったの。

（子供たちを動物園に連れて行った took the children to the zoo）

A: 昨夜は何したの？

B: ただ、通りをぶらぶらしたの

（ただ、ぶらぶらした just wandered）

A: この市場はありとあらゆる変わった野菜を売ってますね。

B: うん、おもしろいね！

（ありとあらゆる変わった野菜 all sorts of weird vegetables）

A: おまわりさん、何て言ってたの？

B: 私たちに注意したの、夜は出歩くなって。

（夜は出歩くな not to go out at night）

一つ、おもしろい表現を、

zoo は、通常、

  A park or an institution in 
  which living animals are kept 
  and usually exhibited to the public. 

  生きた動物たちをおいて、
  一般に公開する施設、公園

ですが、スラング Slang で、

  A place or situation 
  marked by confusion or disorder
  混乱した状態や場所

を指すのにも使われますね。

  The bus station is a zoo on Fridays.
  金曜は、バス停は zoo だ

A: What did you do last night?
B: We just wandered the streets.

wandered

wander は、wonder と似ていますけど、

  to go, move, walk etc (about, in or on) 
  from place to place 
  with no definite destination in mind. 

  あてもなくあちこち歩く

  I'd like to spend a holiday 
   wandering through France
  ぶらりとして休みを過ごしたい

  The mother wandered the streets 
   looking for her child.
  子供を探して、歩きまわった

A: This market sells all sorts of weird vegetables.
B: Yeah, That's interesting!

weird vegetables

weird は、strange と似たような感じでも
使いますけど、

「変、妙な、気味が悪い」という感じがありますね。

weirdo だと、変人、奇人、危険な人 ですね。

映画やドラマでは、「誘拐犯」に向かって、
捕まってる人が言ったりしますね。

A: What did the police say?
B: The cop warned us not to go out at night.

warned us

warn は、「注意を与える」という感じですね。

warning 「警告」は、サインなどでも目にしますね。

内容を前置詞、不定詞、that節を使って表しますね。

  Those clouds warned us of the approaching storm
  嵐が来るのを警告していた

  They warned me not to be late
  私に遅れるなと警告した

  The doctor warned me that I would be ill if I didn't rest
  病気になるぞと警告した
